Thank-you
For all of your kind words and support, thank-you.
For all of your kind words and support, thank-you.
From the email inbox:
I’d like to offer up 10 reasons why you will get my vote.
I believe:
1. You answer the questions asked.
2. You are articulate and have facts to support your points.
3. You will stick with your convictions.
4. You understand technology and how things work today.
5. You demonstrate your belief in alternative fuels.
6. You challenge the parties to let others in for the fight.
7. You are the only candidate that will look after the interests of our generation and rural families (of which I hailed).
8. You truly want to fix the system, not bandage it.
9. You understand the way to disengage the US from Iraq.
10. You have great power of persuasion.
Thanks to everyone who has supported and will support this campaign with their vote today!
What do former U.S. Secretary of Defense William Perry, former U.S. Senator and Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Bob Graham and I all have in common?
We were all on the Jack Rice Show today. Audio soon. My opponents in this race opted not to show.
MNN/MFN Debate is tomorrow in Rochester. Yeah, they were giving us a line about excluding us but your letters and phone calls made all the difference. The power you have in your voice is more effective than any :30 commercial - start using it! Tell your friends, your family, your favorite barista at Starbucks, and everyone else you have the good fortune of seeing between now and election day! I need you to speak on my behalf and let Minnesotans know to cast a courageous vote on Nov. 7th in order to enact real reform in Washington, D.C.
Thank-you!
I just listened to the final sixth district debate. John Binkowski is smart, well-spoken, and would represent the sixth and Minnesota very well in Congress. It’s been my luck to have been able to campaign with him this summer and fall.
Midmorning host Kerri Miller will be the moderator for the U.S. Senate debate on Sunday at the Fitzgerald Theatre. She puts candidates in the hot seat - as she did this evening. It’s a good test to see how candidates think on their feet.
Here’s the article I referenced in last nights debate.
The inbox is full to the brim with kind words. Thank-you all. Tonight was a great opportunity to talk to the people of Minnesota. If you liked what you heard, start sharing that energy with your friends and family. There doesn’t exist a 30 second ad that can compete with the power you have in your voice. Share it with others!
Seriously, has there ever been a story about a U.S. Senate race with the term kegerator in it?
Of the three major party U.S. Senate candidates, the Independence Party’s Robert Fitzgerald is offering the clearest plan about what should be done in Iraq. Fitzgerald is calling for an immediate withdrawal of all U.S. troops. He made the case at recent candidate’s forum.
“We’re experiencing mission-creep in Iraq,” he said. “We went over there to find weapons of mass destruction. We went over there, no, to tackle Saddam. No, we went over there to oversee elections. No, now we’re their to help the interim government. No, now we’re there to stand down when they stand up. That’s cute, but it’s not measurable goals and if you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it.”
